Are WhatsApp fees included in the subscription?

Accepted Answer

No — and nobody's are. Meta bills WhatsApp template messages per message, straight to the WhatsApp account you own. Inchat adds 0% on top.

Meta's rate depends on the template category and the country the customer is in — marketing costs the most, utility and authentication far less, and Meta publishes the per-country rate card. Replying to a customer within 24 hours of their last message is free, with no monthly cap, which is where day-to-day support conversations live.

What counts as a monthly active WhatsApp contact?

Accepted Answer

A contact you exchanged a WhatsApp message with during the calendar month. Chats on Messenger, Instagram, TikTok Shop, Telegram and your website widget do not count towards it, and neither do contacts you import, tag or segment but never message. It is the allowance your plan includes, not a shutter. Nothing stops a customer reaching you, and if your month runs past the number, we work out the right plan with you rather than cutting anything off.

What happens if I run out of messages?

Buy a top-up from US$5 per 1,000 messages, or move up a plan — both apply straight away. Incoming messages are never blocked, and your team keeps replying either way. Talk to us before you get near the number and we will size the plan to what you actually send.

Question 4

What counts as an AI reply, and what happens if I go over?

Accepted Answer

Every AI message counts: replies your AI agent sends to customers, and the drafts, polishes, summaries and translations your team asks it for in the inbox. When a workspace reaches its monthly allowance, AI replies pause until the month resets or you move up a plan — upgrading takes effect straight away. Your team can keep replying by hand the whole time, and the billing page shows how much of the allowance is left.

How does the 7-day trial work?

Full product, every feature of the plan you pick, no credit card. Connect a real channel and run real conversations — that is the only way to tell whether the AI handles your customers. At the end you choose a plan or the workspace pauses. Nothing is deleted and nothing is charged automatically.

Question 6

Which channels are live today?

Accepted Answer

WhatsApp Cloud API, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, Telegram, TikTok Shop and the website chat widget. Public Facebook and Instagram comments come in on the Messenger and Instagram connections, so they need no separate setup. More channels are in development. We don't list them on this page until they're live, and we don't sell a plan on the promise of one.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Accepted Answer

Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from settings. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades apply at your next renewal. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves your data exportable.

How do I move over from another inbox?

Accepted Answer

Export your contacts to CSV and import them, then reconnect each channel to Inchat — your WhatsApp number and Meta assets stay yours, so there is no number migration and no downtime for customers. Conversation history stays in your old tool as an archive. We'll walk through it with you during the trial.

Who can see my data?

Accepted Answer

Each workspace's conversations stay in that workspace. Teammates only see what their role allows. Your customer conversations are never used to train AI models. Marketing consent is recorded per contact and checked before a template goes out, and there are endpoints to delete a contact's data on request.
